                providing OpenVMS technical support services to customers on a 
                contract support basis.
               The Systems Support Service bundles 
                the following offerings into a fixed monthly fee (plus hourly 
                charges where appropriate).
               Monthly 
                "Health Checks"  
               Each month we log into your system(s) 
                and perform a variety of checks including hardware errors, disk 
                usage & fragmentation, print & batch queue operation, 
                backups, network configuration, security events, and application 
                environment concerns such as software licences, logical names 
                and application-specific data.
               The result of the Health Check is 
                report highlighting any areas of concern and recommended course 
                of action. Some customers like us to follow up the recommended 
                action without further consultation, and some like to approve 
                all work before it commences.
               General Consulting
               Once we've developed some familiarity 
                with the technical details of your OpenVMS system and the business/work 
                practices in use at your site, we'll be happy to offer advice 
                on issues such as software and hardware upgrades and integration 
                with other systems.
               Systems Management & Programming
               Very few systems remain static; changing 
                business practices, plans and workloads, and changes to other 
                systems generally mean changes will be required on your OpenVMS 
                system too. We'll be happy to perform systems management and programming 
                tasks as required to facilitate those changes.
               Telephone Support
               All Systems Support Service customers 
                are able to contact us, by whatever means they choose, for any 
                issues relating to the systems being supported. VSM operates to 
                normal office hours but after hours the office phone is diverted 
                to our pager service and most calls are returned within minutes, 
                any time of the day or night.
